The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Nigeria has accused the government led by President Bola Tinubu of orchestrating efforts to destabilize the party.
Bolaji Abdullahi, spokesperson for the ADC, voiced these concerns during his appearance on Sunday Politics, where he criticized the administration for allegedly instigating division within the party.
Abdullahi claimed that the government had a history of creating discord within other political groups and was now attempting to use similar tactics to fracture the ADC. He emphasized that such actions were intended to weaken the party’s unity and strength.
This accusation comes as the ADC is gearing up for the 2027 elections, with former presidential candidate Dino Melaye asserting that the party is planning to field a candidate to challenge President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
