Nigeria’s Social Media Activist VeryDarkMan to Sowore: I will send you to prison
A fresh wave of tension is building in Nigeria’s online space after outspoken content creator VeryDarkMan issued a strong warning to activist Omoyele Sowore.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, VDM addressed Sowore directly, accusing him of not supporting him and cautioning him against taking a step that recently landed businessman Blord in legal trouble.
“Sowore, I know you never liked me… if dem born you well, do the same thing wey Blord do… I will send you to prison if dem born you well do wetin he do,” he said.
The warning comes on the heels of Blord’s remand on April 1, 2026, over allegations including impersonation, forgery, false endorsement, breach of privacy, and identity theft linked to VeryDarkMan.
Reacting to the situation, Sowore questioned the decision to jail Blord, describing it as excessive and suggesting it should not be seen as a major victory despite the involvement of VeryDarkMan’s legal team.
The unfolding exchange has sparked conversations across Nigeria’s digital space, highlighting rising tensions among influential voices and the growing role of legal action in online disputes.
