Remco Evenepoel Wins Silver at World Cycling Championships in Rwanda After Bike Troubles
Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel finished second at the World Cycling Championships in Kigali, Rwanda, after a difficult race marked by two frustrating bike changes.

The defending champion, Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia, showed his strength once again by breaking away on Mount Kigali and securing his second straight world title.
Evenepoel tried to keep up but was held back by equipment problems, forcing him to change bikes twice during the race.

Despite his efforts to catch up, Pogacar pulled away alone, while Evenepoel battled alongside Irish rider Ben Healy and Denmark’s Matias Skjelmose.
With about 20 km to go, Evenepoel broke away from his group and secured the silver medal, while Healy took bronze.
Although he missed out on defending his title, Evenepoel leaves Rwanda with two medals.

Just a week earlier, he claimed his third consecutive world time trial championship, adding a gold medal to his silver in the road race.
