Unbeaten South Africa look to go all the way in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after a dominant showing during the group stage.

The Proteas have been in incredible form so far, winning two out their three games in commanding fashion, alongside another game being washed out.

SOUTH AFRICA DEFEATED AFGHANISTAN BY 107 RUNS

Led by Temba Bavuma, South Africa got their tournament off to a flier with a solid all-round showing against Afghanistan, that handed them a 107-run win.

Ryan Rickelton struck a blistering 103 off 106, while half-centuries from Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram set up a 316-run target for Afghanistan.

Kagiso Rabada got himself three wickets while Wiaan Mulder and Lungi Ngidi grabbed two each to restrict their opponents to a total of 208 all out.

SOUTH AFRICA V AUSTRALIA – MATCH ABANDONED

A highly anticipated clash was on the cards next as the Proteas squared off against Australia in Rawalpindi, but persistent rain had other ideas and the game was abandoned without a ball being played, handing them a point each.

SOUTH AFRICA DEFEATED ENGLAND BY SEVEN WICKETS

Their final group-stage encounter once again saw a dominant South African side on display.

The Proteas bowled out England for the lowest score at the Champions Trophy 2025 to set themselves a 180-run target.

Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder stood out with the ball for South Africa, adding three wickets each to their bag. Rassie van der Dussen’s unbeaten 72, alongside a fine knock from Heinrich Klaasen (64) took the Proteas over the line with seven wickets to spare in Karachi.

With the win, South Africa topped Group B, setting up a semifinal showdown with New Zealand.
