Former President Donald Trump has been found guilty on 34 counts in his ‘hush money’ criminal trial.
The verdict, reached by a 12-person jury on Thursday, involves allegations of falsifying business records related to payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. These payments, facilitated by Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen, were intended to cover up an alleged affair just before the 2016 presidential election.
Trump, who pleaded not guilty and denied the affair, reimbursed Cohen through monthly payments mischaracterized as legal fees
