Stacy Gilbert, a seasoned US State Department official, resigned in protest over a recent report to Congress on Gaza, alleging it was altered to falsely favor Israel.
Gilbert, with over 20 years of expertise, claimed the report inaccurately stated that Israel was not obstructing humanitarian aid to Gaza. She asserted that senior officials edited the report, sidelining subject matter experts, which led to significant changes.
This resignation follows similar departures by other officials, reflecting broader discontent with the administration’s stance on Israel. The State Department stands by the report, while the Israeli embassy has not commented.
