The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has sent a strong warning to social media handlers and bloggers against spreading misinformation that could cause internal strife within the party.

Speaking at a capacity-building event for media handlers in Birnin Kebbi, Damagum emphasized that falsehoods and divisive rhetoric could destabilize the party, undermining its unity and progress.

He condemned those who promote discord within the PDP, stressing that the leadership under his guidance is focused on unity and cohesion, not on fueling internal conflicts.

“Enough is enough,” he declared, urging party members to avoid actions that could damage the party’s image or the vision of its founders.

Damagum reiterated the importance of maintaining discipline and mutual respect within the party, calling on leaders to avoid character assassination and petty grievances.

The workshop, attended by over 50 participants from six Northern states, aimed to strengthen the role of social media in supporting the party’s goals of unity and political stability.
