VIDEO: How a ₦50m Offer Allegedly Drove VDM and Davido Apart
Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has spoken publicly about his reported fallout with music star Davido, linking the rift to an alleged ₦50 million political offer he says he refused.

Speaking in a video that has gained traction online, VDM claimed he was invited to support the political ambitions of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle.
According to him, the invitation came with a promise of ₦50 million, an offer he said he rejected despite its enormous value.

The activist maintained that turning down the proposal was a personal decision, adding that many people still find it hard to believe anyone would refuse such an amount.
VDM also recalled what he described as one of his final conversations with the singer. He said it was connected to Davido’s promise to reward a young man in Ghana with $5,000.

According to VDM, when the payment was delayed, online critics accused them of using the story to attract attention.
To prevent further backlash, he said he reached out to Davido through a private message to remind him of the pledge, after which the beneficiary reportedly received the money.
The disclosure comes after weeks of speculation from fans who noticed that the two public figures were no longer seen together as frequently as before.

As discussions continue online, Davido has yet to publicly respond to VDM’s allegations or comment on the circumstances surrounding their reported fallout.
