Returning enthusiasts of the Kitara FC, an oil city-based club, faced a tragic accident when their Toyota Wish car crashed at Kakindo Village, just 10kms from central Hoima. The accident claimed the life of 17-year-old Busiisi FC captain Timothy Kyomuhendo.
One person sustained minor injuries, while five others were hospitalized. Amidst the tragedy, Kitara FC’s victory in their first-round fixtures propelled them to the 2nd spot in the league. The accident serves as a reminder of the risks associated with reckless driving, prompting condolences from football followers across Uganda. Investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
