Ugandan security forces have heightened their vigilance following reports of militants from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a notorious insurgent group with alleged ties to the “Islamic State,” infiltrating the East African nation.

The Ugandan army has issued a warning of potential attacks in urban areas, places of worship, schools, and public events, urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

Authorities in Uganda suspect that the recent incursion is led by Abu Waqas, a notorious ADF commander known for his involvement in previous attacks and insurgent activities.

The presence of ADF militants in the country has raised concerns about the potential for violence and instability, prompting security forces to take proactive measures to safeguard communities.

In response to the threat posed by the ADF, Ugandan security forces have deployed additional personnel and resources to strategic locations across the country.

Military patrols and surveillance operations have been intensified as authorities work to track and apprehend the militants responsible for the incursion.

The public is urged to cooperate with security forces and remain vigilant in their surroundings, reporting any suspicious individuals or activities to the authorities. The Ugandan government emphasizes the importance of collective efforts in combating terrorism and maintaining peace and stability in the region.

As security forces continue their efforts to address the ADF threat, the situation remains fluid, and further updates are expected as developments unfold.
