The UK is under scrutiny for allegedly issuing sponsorship licenses to counterfeit companies, leaving numerous young Africans stranded without employment opportunities. In addition, unscrupulous agents are reportedly demanding exorbitant fees for visas, promising jobs that are never delivered despite payment.
The issue has particularly affected African healthcare workers who have relocated to the UK in search of employment opportunities, DW Africa reported.
Many find themselves in dire situations due to the failure of these fake companies to provide the promised jobs.
The accusations have raised concerns about the integrity of the UK’s visa and sponsorship systems, with calls for thorough investigations and stricter measures to prevent exploitation and fraud.
