Lagos, Nigeria – In a video gaining traction on social media, a 12-year-old boy fled his parents’ home to ask a stranger for lessons in “Yahoo” (a local term for online fraud).
The video, posted by a tattooed man driving his car, shows the boy handing over his phone and pleading to be taught online scamming techniques. When asked why he wasn’t in school, the boy couldn’t provide a clear answer.
The video has sparked a heated debate online, with many viewers expressing concern over the boy’s future and urging intervention from his parents or community to steer him in the right direction.
