Sadio Mane has acquired French club Bourges Foot 18, which competes in the fourth tier of the football pyramid. Mane, the Senegal star who recently joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, had been interested in purchasing a club and established a relationship with Bourges Foot 18’s president, Cheikh Sylla. He had previously contributed funds to the club for recruitment and, with the approval of the city’s mayor, Yann Galut, he has now taken full ownership. Bourges Foot 18 is located 250 kilometers from Paris and has never played higher than the French second tier. The club was formed just two years ago after a merger between two regional clubs, and it currently competes in Group B of the Championnat National, which includes both amateur teams and professional club reserves. Mane expressed his commitment to nurturing and organizing the club, believing that success is possible with community involvement and hinted at an upcoming visit to Bourges.
