Kim Kardashian has successfully finished California’s Law Office Study Program, an alternative path to becoming a lawyer that does not involve attending traditional law school.
At 44 years old, Kardashian took advantage of California’s apprenticeship system, commonly known as “reading the law,” which allows candidates to train under experienced attorneys instead of enrolling in a formal law degree program.
Because this route does not grant a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, Kardashian did not receive a law degree upon completion.
Reflecting on the experience, she revealed that the process took six years rather than the usual four, due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and her busy lifestyle.
On Instagram, Kardashian shared, “I chose a rigorous program registered with the California State Bar, building on 75 college credits to complete a four-year curriculum that stretched to six. The journey was real, and so is the accomplishment.”
