Nicki Minaj Urges Global Action on Attacks Against Christians in Nigeria
American rapper Nicki Minaj has once again spotlighted the growing violence against Christians in Nigeria, telling world leaders at a United Nations event that urgent action is needed.

Minaj was invited by U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz after her earlier posts on X drew international attention to the issue.
Speaking to delegates, she thanked former U.S. President Donald Trump for raising concerns about religious persecution in Nigeria and pushing the topic into global conversations.
In her speech, Minaj said her career has taught her the power of unity, and she stressed that everyone deserves the freedom to practise their faith without fear.
She described reports from Nigeria as heartbreaking—churches burned, families displaced, and communities living in constant danger.

She made it clear that her message was not political but humanitarian, saying the world must protect innocent people regardless of religion or nationality.
Her remarks come at a time when the U.S. is considering placing Nigeria on its “Countries of Particular Concern” list, a designation that could lead to sanctions or reduced support.
Trump has warned that the U.S. may withdraw assistance if attacks on Christians continue.

Minaj said she is speaking out simply because injustice anywhere should concern everyone, and she urged world leaders to act before the situation gets worse.
