The Court of Appeal in Abuja has ousted Cornelius Doeyok, the representative of Quaanpan South constituency in the Plateau state assembly under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
This decision, led by Abdu-azeez Wazi, stems from the party’s inability to present a candidate due to lacking organizational structure.
Consequently, all 16 PDP lawmakers, including Doeyok, have lost their seats to their All Progressives Congress (APC) counterparts. Professor Theodore Bala Maiyaki of the APC has been declared the winner of the March 18 election for the state constituency seat, leading the APC to hold 22 assembly seats, with the Labour Party and Young Peoples Party (YPP) each having one representative. This marks the removal of all 16 PDP lawmakers from their positions in the house.
