Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni and Gumsu Sani Abacha have officially divorced, confirmed by Gumsu herself via her social media handle.

The marriage, which took place in April 2021, ended a few months ago. This follows Gumsu’s prior marriage to Cameroonian billionaire Bayero Mohamadou, which ended in 2020 after 20 years.
