Tuokpe Onuwaje, the first wife of Nigerian author and former presidential aide Reno Omokri, has accused him of failing to take responsibility for their son who requires special care.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Onuwaje claimed Omokri had not spent meaningful time with the child since June 2024. She alleged that the boy continued to wait in vain for his father to provide the attention and bonding moments he deserves.
She criticised Omokri for what she described as “fleeting visits” to his other children and accused him of prioritising social media appearances over consistent parenting.
“Fatherhood is not about staged photos,” she wrote, urging Omokri to become a constant presence in his children’s lives and focus on genuine parenting rather than online validation.
