The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL) has officially endorsed Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as their candidate for Lagos State Governor in 2027. The endorsement follows an evaluation of his father’s successful tenure, during which Lagos became a “Center of Excellence.”
CONYL believes Seyi, with his experience and leadership qualities, is well-positioned to build on these achievements and lead the state forward. They urged President Tinubu to consider the youth’s support for Seyi, calling him “gifted, qualified, and capable.”
While dynastic endorsements are common in Nigerian politics, it remains to be seen if Seyi Tinubu can meet the high expectations placed on him.
