In the first quarter of 2025, three Nigerian gospel musicians; Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Moses Bliss have secured spots among the top-streamed Nigerian artists on YouTube Music.
Data from Debut Hub reveals Nathaniel Bassey with 52.8 million streams, Mercy Chinwo at 46.4 million, and Moses Bliss with 41.5 million. Mercy Chinwo’s anthem, “Excess Love,” has crossed 133 million streams, while Nathaniel Bassey’s tracks “Yahweh Sabaoth” and “Jesus Iye” have reached 25 million and 32 million streams, respectively.
The first quarter of 2025 also saw top Nigerian artists like Rema, Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr joining the list of the most-streamed acts on the platform. Rema’s “Calm Down” featuring Selena Gomez has racked up an astounding 2.5 billion streams.
