Nigerian broadcaster and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host Frank Edoho has confirmed that his second marriage has ended. Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, Edoho said, “I did everything, but it still failed,” while reflecting on the emotional toll of the breakup.
Edoho, who first gained national fame in Nigeria for his role on the popular quiz show, explained that despite putting his heart into both marriages, neither worked out. He was previously married to Katherine Obiang before tying the knot with Sandra Onyenuchenuya after their 2011 divorce.
The TV personality said love alone couldn’t sustain either relationship, pointing out that compatibility matters more than feelings. “A soulmate is someone who understands you deeply, not just someone you love,” he said.
Using the example of retired Brazilian footballer Kaká—whose wife divorced him despite calling him “too good”—Edoho emphasized that even well-meaning partners can grow apart.
He was careful not to assign blame, instead acknowledging that people can fall out of love for reasons no one can fully control. Despite his disappointment, Edoho spoke with calm and honesty about the challenges of making marriage work.
