Victor Osimhen scored his first goal for Galatasaray in their dominant 4-0 win over Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The Nigerian forward, making his debut for the Istanbul side, played a key role in the attack. After Eren Elmali scored twice to give Galatasaray a comfortable lead, Osimhen found the net in the 86th minute, finishing off a move that involved Mauro Icardi and Nicolo Zaniolo.
Leroy Sane added a fourth goal in stoppage time to round off the performance.
This victory marked the first time since the 2007/08 season that Galatasaray have started a league campaign with three consecutive wins without conceding a goal.
The last time the club managed this feat, current head coach Okan Buruk was still a player, featuring alongside the likes of Rigobert Song and Arda Turan. That season ended with Galatasaray lifting the league title.
Osimhen’s debut goal adds to growing optimism around the club, who now prepare to face Rizespor at Rams Park as they look to maintain their perfect start to the season.
