Revival: GBN set to feed, heal and transform down trodden in Lagos

Revival

Arrangements have been concluded for the Sept. 7, revival rally, a landmark outreach by the God Bless Nigeria Church.

The rally is with the theme: No Shaking; Revival, Hope and Transformation Return to the streets of Lagos.

The rally will feature renowned gospel artists such as Esther Igbekele, Mike Abdul, Dare Justified, Testimony Jaga, Fabian Nwafor and DJ Gosporella.

This is contained in a statement by Hope Egabor, one of the church’s Pastor, issued to newsmen on Sunday in Lagos

According to the statement, the event, scheduled for the National Stadium, has for years, been restoring dignity, meeting needs and bringing the transformative message of the gospel to the down trodden.

“The God Bless Nigeria Rally transcends traditional outreach.

“It is a revival on the streets; Founded and led by Pastor Tony Rapu, Senior Pastor of The House of Freedom and social reformer with over 30 years of ministry experience.

“The rally specifically targets society’s most forgotten populations with both practical support and spiritual renewal,” it stated.

The statement noted that attendees for this year’s revival would receive free medical care and health screenings, free meals, clothings and personal care items, as well as professional grooming services.

It also listed free transportation, access to highly discounted staple food items at the ‘Gbanjo Market’,worship experience and inspirational messages.

The statement further noted that since 2006, the God Bless Nigeria, an outreach arm of The House of Freedom, had operated beyond traditional church walls, bringing hope directly to street corners, slums and overlooked communities.

“The ministry had been a consistent presence in some of the toughest areas of Lagos and beyond.

“Over the years, the God Bless Nigeria has seen addicts rehabilitated, sex workers given new beginnings, homeless individuals reintegrated into society.

“It has also witnessed countless lives turn to Christ, bringing spiritual, emotional and practical transformation to the streets.

“Let us join hands and resources to feed the hungry, clothe the needy, heal the sick, win souls and share the love of Christ with the forgotten.

“We need food items like bags of rice, loaves of bread, spices, beans, noodles, palm oil, salt, sugar, garri and many more daily needs.

“We also need clothes; yes, old and new, sweaters, toiletries, medical supplies, school shoes, and toys for children, books, snacks, and drinks,” it said.

The statement pleaded with public spirited individuals, corporate organisations and NGOs to partner with organisers, to restore hope on the down trodden, by giving generously, financially and otherwise.
