The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in 2027 could face serious challenges—not from former Labour Party candidate Peter Obi alone, but from three influential Nigerians.
In a statement released through his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele said that while Obi remains a prominent political figure, he does not have the strength on his own to defeat Tinubu. According to him, the current opposition coalition lacks the critical individuals needed to pose a real threat to the President’s reelection plans.
Ayodele revealed that three specific individuals, if they decide to contest or join a coalition, could drastically alter the political landscape ahead of 2027. Although he did not name them, he assured the public that their involvement would significantly weaken Tinubu’s chances.
He noted that President Tinubu has so far outperformed his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, and has the potential to do even more if given a second term. However, Ayodele warned that Tinubu’s success would depend on key strategic decisions.
“Tinubu must focus on the North and be cautious of betrayal from trusted allies. If he doesn’t place the right people in important positions, his victory could be cut short,” he said.
The cleric emphasized that there are three crucial steps the President must take to secure his position in 2027, and that ignoring them could open the door for these three unnamed figures to shift the election’s outcome.
“There will be a major shift in the 2027 elections,” Ayodele added. “Only three individuals have the power to change the game, and if they step in, Tinubu’s chances could be in real danger.”
