Spotlight: Women, Men & Money

No man is really loved by a woman if money is not involved – this phrase may sound cynical and sad, but it is one of the most accurate and honest of the sayings regarding relationships between men and women. In many cases, the love that women feel for men is either born out of necessity – financial or otherwise – or significantly worsened when the financial situation of their men deteriorate. Throughout history it has been observed that a woman’s feeling of love and admiration towards her partner is usually based on his status, possessions, and earning potential. As a result of this, many men felt unable to stick to a relationship as their financial situation plunged.

Of course, there are exceptions. Many couples stay together through financially difficult times, but it can be said that money does play an important role in any relationship. When all is said and done, financial security is a significant part of a woman’s feelings towards her partner. For instance, it is natural for a woman to become less attracted to a man, if he proves unable to provide her with the financial aid she needs. This doesn’t necessarily mean buying her expensive things, but it’s important that he can contribute to the household expenses to a certain level. This can improve the woman’s sentiments of security and protection, as she knows that she has not just a partner but also a provider who can take care of her.

The importance of money in a relationship is also reflected in the nature of commitments and long-term plans. For many women, having a financial backing means stability in the relationship, which translates into stability in her life. Knowing that the man can provide her with a secure future, to a certain extent, gives a woman the sense of security that she desires. This security is a form of love for many women and being able to provide it to someone is one of the greatest gifts that a man can give.

By and large, it is clear that money does play a role in how a woman feels about her partner. While it is true that there can be love without financial security, it is also true that it can become difficult to sustain such a relationship. Ultimately, it can be said that money is an important factor in a relationship, as it is a sign of security, trust, and commitment to a woman. Money may not be able to buy love, but it can certainly be instrumental in sustaining it.
