President Donald Trump has announced the deportation of foreign students involved in pro-Hamas protests following the October 7, 2023 attacks in Israel.

The new executive order targets resident aliens, including visa-holding students who broke laws during the demonstrations. Trump stated, “To all the resident aliens who joined in the pro-jihadist protests, we put you on notice… we will find you, and we will deport you.”

He further emphasized that the Justice Department would “aggressively prosecute terroristic threats, arson, vandalism and violence against American Jews,” underlining his administration’s stance against anti-Semitism. Trump also vowed to cancel the student visas of Hamas sympathizers on college campuses, which he criticized as “infested with radicalism like never before.”

This order comes as part of his broader campaign to address anti-Semitic threats in U.S. institutions, with government agencies given 60 days to provide recommendations on identifying such risks.

Trump’s latest action is part of a series of orders aimed at fulfilling his campaign promises. Last week, he signed another executive order calling for the removal of foreign visa holders supporting foreign terrorist groups.

“When I am president, we will not allow our colleges to be taken over by violent radicals,” he declared at a rally in New Jersey in May, pledging to deport those who bring “jihadism or anti-Americanism” to U.S. cam
