U.S. President Joe Biden has vowed to reduce gun violence which has dominated key states.
Unvealing comprehensive government strategy aimed to curb gun violence on Wednesday at the White House, President Biden warned Americans about a dangerous summer spike in killings.
“We’re taking on the bad actors doing bad and dangerous things in our communities and to our country,” he said.
Biden also vowed “zero tolerance” for rogue gun dealers and those involved in weapon trafficking within the U.S:
“We’ll make sure you can’t sell death and mayhem on our streets.”
According to the new gun control strategy, the U.S. government plans to spend $350 billion on police departments in cities with high gun crimes.
In his long speech, President Biden also observed the urgent need to restrict gun buying, “there are too many people today who are able to buy a gun but shouldn’t be able to buy a gun.”
