Major General Hassan Dada, in charge of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army has kicked off “Operation Safe Conduct” in a short ceremony at the 34 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Obinze, Owerri. According to the GOC, the paramount essence of the operation is to guarantee maximum security, before, during and after the election process in order to effect free and fair election in lmo State.He expressed his regards to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt- Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja for his unwavering support, while ensuring officers on duty of the provision of their general welfare. He cautioned his officers not be involved in partisan politics, rather, they should collaborate with other security agencies to ensure the success of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in lmo State.
