In response to soaring prices of sachet water driven by inflation, vendors are now selling iced water in transparent nylon bags.
A woman in Ibadan was seen selling two nylon bags of iced water for N50, drawing attention from park-goers who filmed the scene. The cost of sachet water has risen significantly, with a bag of 20 sachets now averaging N350, compared to N150 just months ago.
Single sachets have also seen a steep price increase, from N10 to N50. This revival of iced water sales marks a shift from its previous decline in popularity due to the affordability of sachet water.
