FCTA Demolishes 500 Illegal Structures in Karmo Market, Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has initiated the demolition of over 500 illegal structures at Karmo market.

The action follows the expiration of 24-hour notices issued to traders. Mukhtar Galadima, Director of the Department of Development Control, emphasized that the demolition aims to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance security in the area. Affected traders are offered a year’s free shop rental in a newly built market.
