A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi experienced a “hard landing” on Sunday, according to ABC News.

The incident occurred near Jolfa, a city close to the Azerbaijan border, roughly 600 kilometers northwest of Tehran. Raisi was in the region to inaugurate a dam with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev. State TV reported that rescuers were struggling to reach the site due to poor weather conditions, including heavy rain and wind.
