Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed revenge, stating, “With this action, the criminal and terrorist Zionist regime prepared the ground for harsh punishment for itself, and we consider it our duty to seek revenge for his blood as he was martyred in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.“
In response to the assassination, several countries, including Jordan, Syria, Qatar, Turkey, China, and Russia, have condemned the killing. Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani emphasized that the assassination “undermines the chances of peace” and leads to further chaos in the region.
