Juvenile Career Education (JuCE Africa), a non-governmental organisation says the 2025 JuCE Africa Bootcamp will equip 35 secondary school students with essential 21st-century skills.

The Founder JuCE Africa, Adaeze Okeke, said this in a statement on Sunday in Lagos and signed by Mrs Ezinne Azunna, JuCE Africa Media Lead.

JuCE Africa is pleased to announce its highly anticipated bootcamp, scheduled to take place from Aug. 18 to 21 at American Corner, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.

“This dynamic five-day bootcamp brings together 35 carefully selected secondary school students, out of 109 applicants, for an immersive experience designed to equip them with essential 21st-century skills,” she said.

Okeke said that each day of the bootcamp would expose participants to essential topics such as Leadership & Problem Solving, Entrepreneurship & Social Impact, Robotics & Coding, and Communication & Presentation.

“The last day of the bootcamp features a Shark-Tank style Mock Business Pitch where the students will pitch business ideas developed during the bootcamp to judges for a chance to win career-centered experience-based prizes.

“ The bootcamp format blends interactive workshops, team challenges, and hands-on learning to ensure that the students are not just passive learners but active contributors, problem-solvers, and innovators,” she said.

She added that the need for this initiative had never been more urgent, as young people across Africa face an increasingly competitive and complex world, early exposure to global skills, real-world problem-solving, and digital & technological skills is crucial.

She noted that the bootcamp responded to this need by going beyond the classroom to encourage students to intertwine technology with leadership, innovation, and creativity.

“ Every session is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and promote collaboration among peers from diverse backgrounds.

“Each day of the Bootcamp will be anchored by an outstanding group of facilitators from diverse sectors who bring both experience and passion to the sessions.

“ These include Adedipo Adekanbi of Foot City, Douglas Kendyson of Selar, Nigenius, certified media personnel and speakers; Bukola Olusola, and Daniel Adeyemi, among others.

“ In addition, the Mock Pitch will feature professionals from leading organizations serving as judges,” she said.

JuCE Africa, proudly supported by forward-thinking individuals and corporate partners committed to youth development and education in Africa.

JuCE Africa, an NGO committed to providing career exposure, guidance, and mentorship to Nigerian students, is offering this bootcamp experience to the carefully selected participants at no cost.

We look forward to partnering with more stakeholders in education, development, technology, and social innovation to empower more young Africans.” Okeke added.

Elon Musk Becomes First Trillionaire in History Elon Musk has reportedly crossed a historic financial threshold, becoming the first individual to reach a net worth above $1 trillion, following the public listing of SpaceX. SpaceX, Musk’s aerospace company, began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX, opening at $135 per share before rising sharply to about $165 in early trading. The surge lifted the company’s valuation beyond $2 trillion, driven by strong investor demand at launch. Prior to the IPO, Musk’s estimated wealth stood at roughly $813 billion. The increase in SpaceX’s market value pushed his total net worth past the trillion-dollar mark, according to financial reports tracking billionaire valuations. The milestone further distances Musk from other global billionaires, with his fortune now exceeding that of several top-ranking figures combined on global wealth indices. SpaceX now joins the upper tier of publicly traded companies in the United States, alongside tech giants such as Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, and Nvidia in total market value. The company continues to expand its reach through Starlink, its satellite internet service, and xAI, its artificial intelligence venture behind the Grok chatbot, reinforcing Musk’s influence across multiple high-growth technology sectors. The development underscores the accelerating financial impact of space commercialization and artificial intelligence in shaping modern global markets.
