Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu, confirmed on Monday that Peter Obi has officially conceded his presidential race to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Bwala added that Obi has now been sidelined, with his new focus shifting to the vice-presidential ticket alongside former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
Bwala’s comments come amidst the growing influence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the coalition platform that includes Atiku, Obi, and Amaechi. He stated that Obi is now expected to serve as the Director-General of the ADC’s campaign, reinforcing his diminished role in the race.
“Peter Obi is now a non-issue; he has conceded his presidential ambition to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,” Bwala
