The arrest of Aisha Ahmed, by the State Security Service has been reported by the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA). Aisha Ahmed is the Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) in charge of Financial System Stability. She has been accused of fraudulent activities in connection with shares in Union and Polaris Banks. The CBN and SSS are yet to release official statement as regards the arrest of Aisha. The details of the arrest are still iffy as the time the report filtered in on Saturday night. Recall that the former Governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele, was arrested and is still in SSS custody for than two months over fraudulent financial activities. #OMAGIST@AFRICAWORLDNEWS*
