Sunday Igboho has been released from prison by the Beninese Government after spending two years in custody. This Yoruba Nation activist, also known as Chief Sunday Adeyemo, had been held in protective custody in neighboring Benin.Sunday Igboho’s release was confirmed by Yoruba Nation leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye, who stated that it happened just a few hours ago. He is currently en route to Germany to reunite with his family.The activist was originally arrested on July 19, 2021, at Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou, Benin, by the International Criminal Police Organisation while attempting to travel to Germany. This came after he had fled Nigeria following a contentious raid on his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, by the Department of State Service (DSS), which accused him of hoarding weapons. #OMAGIST@AFRICAWORLDNEWS
