Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has encouraged men to view their wives as their “first daughters” instead of mere partners.
He explained that when men see their wives as equals or mates, they often set high expectations, leading to frustration when those expectations aren’t met.
However, by viewing their wives as daughters, men are more likely to approach their relationships with patience, understanding, and grace.
Oyakhilome emphasized that this shift in perspective encourages men to be more empathetic and forgiving toward their wives. He shared, “If you take her as your daughter, you’ll be gracious and overlook any shortcomings.”
He continued, stressing that seeing a wife as a daughter helps husbands provide a nurturing and supportive environment, fostering a more harmonious marriage.
According to Oyakhilome, this mindset allows men to approach their relationships with a greater sense of care and unconditional love
