Today in history, there is a strategic system that encourages us to learn. Take history seriously and you may stand the chance to ask the right questions and avoid some questionable mistakes.
It is on this premise that I crave your indulgence to journey with us on this day’s today in history for yet another wonderful round of historical events.

On this day in 1410, the first known mention of the Prague astronomical clock.

Still on this day in 1790, a severe earthquake in northern Algeria caused severe damage and a tsunami in the Mediterranean Sea and killed three thousand.

According to Today in History, it was on this day in 1962 that Uganda became an independent Commonwealth realm.

Again, on this day in 2006, North Korea conducted its first nuclear test.

2020, during the nationwide #EndSARS protests, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Femi Hamzat, addressed protesters. He acknowledged that some SARS police officers abuse their powers, including in appearance or things they carry, and promised that the state government would take necessary action.
