A tragic incident occurred in Bauchi, Nigeria, on February 25, 2025, when a 25-year-old woman, Salamatu Danjuma, stabbed her husband to death during a heated argument.
According to Ahmed Wakil, the Police Public Relations Officer, the couple had been experiencing domestic disputes regarding the custody of their six-year-old daughter ¹.
Wakil stated, “The situation escalated drastically when Salamatu, feeling cornered by her husband’s refusal, used a knife from their bedroom, resulting in a tragic outcome.”
The police responded promptly to a distress call and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained.
The Commissioner of Police, Auwal Mohammed, has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter. As Wakil noted, “Following the investigation, appropriate legal actions will be taken.”
