NIGERIA: Armed Thugs with Guns and Machetes Attack Protesters in Abuja

A violent incident is occurring in Abuja, where thugs armed with guns and machetes are attacking #EndBadGovernance protesters.

These attackers are allegedly sponsored by the Nigerian government. Video footage shows the thugs terrorizing protesters.

Additionally, operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigerian police reportedly invaded the protest at Moshood Abiola Stadium, shooting at a vehicle carrying journalists from The Premium Times and The Cable newspapers. One journalist stated, “They shot at us three times; it was God that saved us.” The protest, initially peaceful, was disrupted by police using teargas to disperse the crowd.
