Slovak Government Updates on PM Fico’s Condition Following Assassination Attempt

Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico is recovering after a successful surgery following an assassination attempt.

Deputy PM Tomas Taraba reported that Fico, who was shot multiple times in Handlova, is expected to survive. The suspect is in custody, and authorities confirmed the attack was politically motivated. Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estoka and Defence Minister Robert Kalinak provided updates on Fico’s critical condition and immediate medical response.
