MicNet Concept International, a tech service provider, has announced plans to launch the first e-commerce marketing platform in the South-East this September
Mr Mike Neboh, Chief Executive Officer of the organisation during a news conference in Awka, said the E-commerce would promote digital inclusion and boost regional trade.
Neboh said the platform, www.e-commerceplus.org, will be officially launched during the 2nd edition of the South-East World-Class Digital Summit (SE-WCDS), scheduled for Sept. 4 in Imo State.
He said the platform aims to bridge affordability and quality, offering convenient online shopping and services without compromising value.
He also said the platform, called E-commerce Plus, would enhance digital access while providing a trusted space for connecting consumers and businesses.
According to him, the platform will support the growth of small and medium enterprises, and offer relief measures during times of economic hardship in the country.
“The E-commerce Plus is a comprehensive digital platform that will facilitate the distribution of products and services to targeted audience.
“Through collaborative partnerships with each southeastern state, E-commerce Plus aims to generate an annual revenue of over N54 billion.
“The economy and GDP of the five eastern states will also grow tremendously.
“We urge residents, innovators, business owners and corporate organisations in the south east to to register on the platform, to maximise its reach and impact, ” he said.
Also speaking, Mrs Gloria Nwakamma, Zonal Coordinator of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), identified access to market as the majority challenge of SMEs
Nwakamma who was representing by Mrs Chito Onuzulike, Anambra state Manager, SMEDAN,
said the agency provided support and guidance because the platform offers market access to SMEs.
In his remarks, Dr Chimezie Amadi, Commissioner for Digital Economy and E-Government, Imo State, emphasised that the state government takes the digitalisation of all sectors seriously.
Amadi who was represented by Mr Chibuike Mebrim, Learning Supervisor at Imo Digital City, noted that the project is worth supporting as it will promote digital inclusion in the South east.
