On Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary today, Organized Labour calls on all citizens, regardless of their background, to join a nationwide strike starting on October 3 for freedom and better living conditions. They also seek support from royal figures and fellow Nigerians to encourage the government to address the country’s suffering.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) emphasizes that together, as Nigerians, they can work towards a brighter future, stating that liberty requires collective effort. The Federal Government is expected to meet with labour leaders in Abuja today to prevent the planned strike on October 3.
NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, highlights the goal of the struggle as revitalizing Nigeria to be a beacon of hope and prosperity. He believes that despite its flaws, Nigeria has the potential to become one of the world’s leading economies. He encourages all to acknowledge the past, face current challenges, and work together for a better Nigeria. #OMAGIST@AFRICAWORLDNEWS
