The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has initiated a lawsuit against Funke Ashekun, a US-based Nigerian social media influencer, accusing her of spreading defamatory content against the church and its General Overseer, Dr. D. K. Olukoya.
Ashekun, a former church member, allegedly made false accusations on social media platforms, leading to legal action filed in the Baltimore County Circuit Court. The hearing is set to commence on January 22, 2024. Ashekun, in response, claims the church aims to financially drain her and challenges the legitimacy of the allegations.
