Nigerian government, led by President Bola Tinubu, signed a 15-point agreement with organized labor, including the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Abuja. This led to the suspension of the nationwide strike planned for October 3. The key points include a wage increase for federal government workers, the formation of a minimum wage committee, a six-month suspension of Value Added Tax (VAT) on Diesel, investment in CNG buses and conversion kits, tax incentives for the private sector, resolution of labor issues, support for education workers, financial aid to households, and more. The agreement also commits to social dialogue in future engagements, and it will be filed in court within a week as a consent judgment by the Federal Government. #OMAGIST@AFRICAWORLDNEWS*
