Nigerian Father Found Dead in UK Apartment Days After Family Tragedy
A Nigerian father of three, identified as Herbert and based in Thornaby, United Kingdom, has been found dead in his apartment under tragic circumstances, just days after suffering a painful family loss.
Reports from community sources and a social media post linked to the case indicate that Herbert died suddenly in his sleep last week, leaving behind his wife and three young children.
His death has left the family not only in mourning but also facing urgent financial pressure over burial arrangements and the repatriation of his body to Nigeria.
It was gathered that he had recently lost his father in Nigeria and was unable to travel home for the burial.
However, he reportedly sent financial support to ensure his father was laid to rest properly, a situation believed to have placed him under emotional and financial strain.
He was said to have died within days of his father’s burial, deepening the shock surrounding the incident.
According to accounts shared online, his children discovered his lifeless body in their home while their mother was away. The situation has been described as especially traumatic for the family.
A fundraising appeal has since been launched to assist the widow and children, with supporters aiming to raise about £7,000 to cover funeral costs and repatriation.
A former leader of Nigerians in the UK also confirmed the incident, urging members of the Nigerian community to support the bereaved family.
The development adds to recent reports of similar tragic losses involving Nigerians in the United Kingdom.
