President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally renamed the University of Maiduguri to Muhammadu Buhari University in honor of the late former president.
The announcement was made by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga in a brief statement on Thursday.
“President Tinubu renames University of Maiduguri as Muhammadu Buhari University. The renaming was revealed during a session of tributes by the Federal Executive Council to the late former president,” Onanuga posted on X.
