The United Nations has listed the Israeli military among offenders failing to protect children in conflict zones, a move met with strong condemnation from Israeli officials.

The list, to be presented to the UN Security Council, cites violations including the killing of children and restricting access to aid. Thousands of children have been affected by the conflict in Gaza, with both Israeli and Palestinian armed groups named in the report. This decision is seen as a step towards holding Israel accountable for its actions against children in Gaza.
